In the heart of a Baltic Forest, surrounded by birches and pine trees, lies the private kindergarten as a part of the “Uogu slenis” development. With its dark cladding creating a striking contrast with the natural sur- roundings, the building’s design revolves around a distinctive hexagonal entry courtyard. Tall, narrow windows beckon young minds to explore the world outside, while the inner courtyard envelops them with warmth and playfulness. The main facade faces south, maximizing sunlight ex- posure. To regulate solar radiation, vertical wooden frames have been incorporated, reminiscent of the verticality found in the surrounding for- est. The roof, boasts a geometric shape, providing stability and archi- tectural expression. Lastly, a dark metal shell encases the entire building, serving as a unifying element and protecting the inner space.
